Fun on the Farm

We made our annual trip to the Pumpkin Farm. We usually go a little earlier when it's still nice and warm, but we have been so busy lately, that this weekend was the first opportunity we had to go! Mark was at an alumni event, so he didn't get there until we were ready to leave!!! Although, he did make it in time to find the biggest pumpkin left on the lot!!

My friend Annie and her kids came with us and the boys had a great time! They played on the playground and rough housed in the hay... which Isaac was thrilled with -- he usually doesn't have anyone his size to "tackle". Drew had fallen asleep on the way there and was sort of out of it for the most part... until the previously mentioned tackling commenced.

The highlight of the trip, as always, is the tractor hay ride. Windmill Farms, makes it extra muddy which Isaac was captivated by... "how did it get so muddy?" and the ever famous, "why is it so muddy and dirty?". There are two steep hills and some scary decorations out on the trail... all in all the perfect hayride!
Once we were home, Mark said, "wouldn't it be fun to own a pumpkin farm?". Now I'm obsessed with the idea. I know it's a long shot, but I can dream!

Thanks for commenting on my blog. Glad you enjoyed the concert update and pictures. What a cute little family you have. It looks like you are having glorious fall weather in your neck of the woods. It sets the right mood. We are still enduring low 90 degree temps. Dressing up as a hula girl, complete with swimsuit and flip flops are totally acceptable around here for Halloween.
