Dear Mother Nature,

You have dazzled us with a coating of beautiful snow that glistened like diamonds, and lay so gracefully on the trees.

We have enjoyed building snow forts, snowmen, snow angels and snowballs immensely.

We have traveled by sled, we have "suited up" many a time over the last few days.

We have had more cups of hot cocoa than I care to admit.
I have run out of "special" snow day activities.
The natives are getting restless.

We have thoroughly enjoyed your enchanting snow... now please go away.

Powder

Since our last snow, Meg has been asking when we can build another snow man, and talking about "squishy snow".

We knew a big snow was coming.

We prepared with a trip to the library to get new books and a couple of movies too.

We waited...

We watched...

After a nice, stick to your ribs breakfast; sausage, biscuit, eggs and of course butter and preserves - we headed out to assess the situation.

Our synopsis:
Not good for snowman making.

Good for eating, shoveling and bulldozing.

We made a different kind of snowball instead!
