two peas in a pod

These two...

I don't know what we're going to do with them.

They are nine months apart.

They have a love/hate relationship, and are as close as sisters.

They are both sweet as can be... most of the time.

They are both a bit on the ornery side.

The gruesome twosome...

We're having issues....

Two year old not listening issues.

Four year old being too big for his britches, issues.
When Mama gets stressed, she bakes, issues. (which doesn't help with the trying-to-be-healthy-and lose weight issues.)

Daddy is going to be gone for 10 days, inducing said stress baking.

New discipline actions have been implemented... no more zillion warnings... you get one and after that is straight to time out.... as of now, 9:15 am, both hooligans have been in time out, one of them twice. I'm tired. I am tired of yelling, tattle telling, whining. Oh my gosh the WHIIIIINING!

Wanting to move, buy a new home, sell our house, issues.
I have officially become a real estate stalker. Mark is convinced I know more about the houses on the market than most agents... I'm not so sure that is a good thing.

The house he wanted, sold. The house I like, he doesn't. Issues I tell you.

I'm trying to remain optimistic. Realizing that my issues are pretty run of the mill, pretty boring actually, except to me.

Homemade Strawberry Tarts and Apple Pie seem to help a bit.
Send any good baking recipes!!!

Easter Highlights

We had a great Easter weekend... the weather was gorgeous and the Easter Bunny filled the kids' baskets with some awesome goodies!

Of course he hid the eggs in the backyard and we had to hunt for them in our jammies.

He even hid the baskets! So the kids had to find the baskets before the hunt could begin!

Then we went to church, and then to my mom and dad's house!

All in all it was a great day!!

Happy Birthday Mom!

My mom's birthday is on Christmas Day. So to give her special day the attention it deserves, we celebrate a couple of days afterward. This year we went to Steph's house and had a great spread of delicious food which included, baked bree, farmhouse chicken and peanut butter cake. Brenda and Ove were able to come as well and we had a great time.

Happy Birthday Mom! We love you!

Here is a little taste of our Christmas! We had a great time. Isaac was a blast. He has been looking forward to Santa's visit for so long and it payed off. He got his Bengals helmet and a bunch of new race cars. Megan had fun, she got a new baby doll and some dishes and food for her kitchen.

I was all set to capture Isaac on video Christmas morning and the excitement that comes with seeing all the gifts under the tree... I was expecting, "Yeah! Santa came!" etc. What I got was, "Where are all my presents?" Still cute... kinda. Ahhh.... the honesty that comes with being 3.

Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!!

Never a Dull Moment!

While doing some outdoor chores Isaac went missing.... anyone know where he could have possibly gone?

And afterwards, Meg tried to see just how many goldfish she could fit into her mouth at one time.... I think the total was about 7 or so.

A Brief Intro...

As you can see in my profile, I am a stay at home mom of two incredible kids, Isaac & Meg.

This is Isaac. Very funny, very sweet and all boy. His current obsessions are:
Anything to do with Lightening McQueen or any other Cars character, sports, specifically football and learning how to count to 100. He started preschool this fall and loves it. He loves to make people laugh and to "make a deal" which means, "how about we do what I want"... He also starts sentences with phrases like, "when I was little," or "when I was a baby". He is already asking when Santa is coming... oh boy.

And this is Meg. She is about to turn 1 next week and it breaks my heart to type that. She is a little firecracker. She is learning to walk, but after about 2 or 3 unsure steps, she decides that crawling is much quicker.
"daddy", or more appropriately, "daDEEEEEEE" and "na na" which means goodnight.

And I'll have to work on getting a good picture of my main squeeze, he is a little camera shy....
